A “classic” case of Death Economy that caused direct death of a Journalist.

All this corruption is going on over decades – it is almost in every country and the “very obvious” and drastic cases can often been seen abroad – but they happen in every country.

No wonder people get angry and vote for radical changes (positive or negative).

Common people’s incomes are double and tripple taxed without the possibility of tax avoidance like the multi nationals and the banks that help them with the crime.

Money laundering is particularly severe – because the money could come from any illegal source – including drug dealing and human slave trafficking, in short: straight from the mafia.

‘This morning, the Maltese judiciary upheld criminal investigations into suspicions of money laundering, including against the Maltese Finance Minister Edward Scicluna.

Keith Schembri, the former chef de Cabinet to Malta’s Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, was released last night from prison.

Involvement in the Caruana Galizia murder investigation

Prominent Maltese businessman Yorgen Fenech was arrested on 20 November 2019 in connection with the Daphne Caruana Galizia murder.

Schembri resigned his government post on 26 November 2019, and was subsequently arrested by the police for questioning.[18][19]

Schembri was later released by police. [20]

Yorgen Fenech, in his court statement, accused Schembri of being the masterming behind the Caruana Galizia murder.[21]

Schembri is also accused to have tried to influence Fenech in order to frame Chris Cardona as responsible for the murder of Caruana Galizia.[22]

The opposition of Finance Minister Edward Scicluna, the “self-suspended” Minister Chris Cardona and the former Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi against the investigation was rejected.

The three (former) ministers will have to face an official investigation for their involvement in hospital privatization.

On the basis of a Initiative in the EU the conference of presidents of the European Parliament decided yesterday to send an urgent special mission to examine the rule of law in Malta after the recent revelation on the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

Parliament will also discuss the recent unveiling in Malta at the December plenary session.

“A Eurozone finance minister under suspicion of money laundering is unbearable.

Our common currency is already suffering from serious reputational damage due to a long series of money laundering scandals.

In this Situation, a Eurozone finance minister under suspicion of money laundering would be another blow.

Edward Scicluna should take his responsibility and resign.

The release of Schembri demonstrates the importance of the European Parliament’s urgent Mission in Malta.

The decision of the police to release him, raises questions about the independence of the Maltese judiciary.

Almost every day new questions arise about the independence of the judiciary and about serious allegations of

corruption at the highest level.

The priority of Parliament’s Mission must be to investigate all possible links with the prime minister, who has protected and defended these ministers for so long. Malta must adhere to the rule of law and European values, so that there can be justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia and her family.”
