Modern Monetary Theory – A Debate: Randall Wray (Pt 1/4)

https://therealnews.com/tag/modern-monetary-theory

Guys i can comment on “Green New Deal” and “Medicare for all”:

fucked up monetary system aka “private bank issued debt money” system:

Europe has the same FUCKED UP monetary system as the US – why?

Because a lot of Trumps told us “it’s so great”.

Because politicians said “free trade and privatization are the road to glory” and copied the US the grand example, trying to form a “United States of Europe under one currency (to rule them all)”.

Now even the US realizes – it is losing this game to the Chinese and it has MASSIVE CATASTROPHIC sideffects – such as destruction of nature, joblessness, producing massive inequality – which produces massive tensions, in the worst case “a failed society” with massive civil war like insecurity and crime.

No one – not even the affluent rich – can want that – because not even THEY will have the freedom to roam the streets freely with their Porsche and Mercedes.

A good example of this rich vs poor gap is Sao Paulo – massively gated communities vs illegal build slums (people basically can not even afford their own land) – fun fact – not even the rich enjoy their golden cage with a pool.

Their kindergartens are like high-security prisons – except – they try to lock people out.

Imagine going to 30mins of security checks – just to give your child to kindergarten – every day.

Green New Deal:

You have to KNOW what it means:

  • it means a lot of small power-plant OWNERS (millions and millions!) – yes YOU!instead of few centralized high-power nuclear reactors owned by not so many people making a $1million PER DAY.
  • it means if the government needs to start spending reasonably – forms a own sate-owned bank (why not?) – give out cheap loans to THE PEOPLE that own a house and want to put “90% REALLY MADE IN USA” solar panels and battery chargers and battery systems on their roof to lower their electricity bill by 60%.
    • MADE IN USA = generate jobs
    • how will it be paid for?
      • if you get a loan 1-3% p.a. over 20 years from state-owned bank to finance your tesla-battery backed solar powered 10kW power plant (enough for 5 people in a medium sunny area) to achieve 60% independence from the grid – that is a lot of savings plus a lot of green renewable energy generated (you can say 1000kWh per 1kWpeak installed)
      • calculate it!
      • plus: after 20 years YOU OWN YOUR OWN POWER PLANT! that will probably last another 20 years.

will there be no downsides?

  • the government could decide to raise taxes on electricity – even better if you consume most of your self generated electricity yourself (!) and feed the rest into the grid.
  • right now in Germany electricity prices have grown so the government has cut down on the solar funding – but the electricity bill keeps rising – so all the rising after 2018 has nothing to do with renewables but  with the fishy collusion of gov + energy companies trying to exploit the public! AGAIN!
  • a lot of companies have applied for “not paying” the green electricity tax and got it granted – not okay, it was meant for companies with very high energy demand.

overall: it was a giant success. after only 20 years Germany’s electricity has grown to 50% renewables, 7% of which is solar (2018) produced by the people for the people – owned by the people.

key issue: energy storage – from day to night and summer to winter would be IT – GO TESLA POWERWALL GO! 🙂

Medicare for All:

is not a problem at all – a lot of countries do that already – it works like this your boss will send 10% of your income straight to “medicare4all” a (hopefully) governmental institution that then pays your doctor fees.

That’s it!

Any questions?

Sideffects: doctors might get paid less and less and get more and more laws and bureaucracy to follow – this means to earn the same – they will have to “process” more and more patients per hour thus trying to become more efficient, faster and work harder (longer hours) to afford the Porsche, but if they really want it they still can get it.

So what is your problem with that? America?

French Ex President Sarkozy accepted about 50 Mio USD from Libya’s (killed 2011 by rebel groups) dictator Gaddafi as “friendship gift” which he spend in the 2007 election campaign to win presidency by 53.1%.

Of course General Gaddafi ruled Libya with a iron fist and now another General tries to take power and brought war back to Libya.

General Haftar Attack of Tripoli escalates civil war in splintered Libya

New York Times: blocks proposed draft statement calling for halt to Libyan National Army offensive around . EU will now attempt to draft new statement.

The French oil company TOTAL is operating in Libya

and Gaddafi’s removal was very much in their interest.

When insurgents surged (maybe started by US CIA and  backed by the US) France stepped in with it’s Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier to drop even more bombs on Gaddafi – for the single purpose to directly extract the oil from the ground without a middleman.

March 2, 2018 / 8:30 AM:

Oil major TOTAL expands in Libya, buys U.S. Marathon‘s Waha stake for $450 million

The sideffects of this greedy tactic: the refugee crisis of 2015

which swept accross europe and the resulting boost for right-wing parties accross europe. (Poland is strictly Catholic, while massively profiting from EU investments, did not accept ANY refugees)

While Sarkozy is himself a centre-right politician – so i guess it is the old game: greedy eats brains.

Macron will probably be the last elected president of France, Le Pen will kill democracy in France – Sarkozy and TOTAL are to blame.

Just look at this horrible video from calais and you know why – 30.000 migrants try to cross over from France to UK, but are stuck in France for years.

Merkel ‘Fed up With Erdogan Blackmailing Germany’ With Refugee Deal

Mrs Merkel had to bribe Erdogan to keep the refugees in his country.

The people that flee are mostly – young male black that steal and rape.

And the European governments just don’t know what to do.

“GOOD JOB” all involved.

United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973, on the situation in Libya, is a measure that was adopted on 17 March 2011. The Security Council resolution was proposed by France, Lebanon, and the United Kingdom.[1][2]

Hillary Clinton argued that, though arming anti-Gaddafi forces was not being proposed at the time, it would be legal to do so.[5]

it seems NATO and was involved, Canadian Lt. Gen Charles Bouchard, WTF!? SERIOUSLY!

HERE YOU CAN SEE AGAIN: NATO IS A PROBLEM – NOT A SOLUTION!

Canada, want some refugees?

Military intervention in Libya began on 19 March, as fighter jets of the French Air Force destroyed several pro-Gaddafi vehicles advancing on rebel stronghold Benghazi. U.S. and British submarines then fired over 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles at targets throughout Libya, severely disabling the regime’s air defense capability and allowing a wider enforcement of the no-fly zone to begin. A coalition of 10 states from Europe and the Middle East initially participated in the intervention, later expanding to 17. On 31 March, NATO assumed command of the operation. The intervention succeeded in preventing pro-Gaddafi forces from capturing Benghazi.[16]

On 24 August, it was acknowledged for the first time that special forces troops from Britain,[17] Italy, France, Jordan, Qatar,[18] and the UAE[18] had intervened on the ground in Libyan territory, stepping up operations in Tripoli and other cities.[19] This has been questioned as a possible violation of Resolution 1973[20] although the use of special forces is not prohibited by the resolution.

Noam Chomsky has argued that the Western military intervention into Libya was a clear breach of UNSCR 1973 since it nullified the attempts for a ceasefire that were put forward by the resolution and welcomed by Gaddafi. As he puts it, “NATO powers (France and Britain in the lead and the United States following) violated the resolution, radically, and became the air force of the rebels. Nothing in the resolution justified that. It did call for “all necessary steps” to protect civilians, but there’s a big difference between protecting civilians and being the air force for the rebels.” [21]

IT IS SICKENING and might even result in many Hitlers 2.0 coming to power all across Europe

All for a little oil.

HURRAY!

“Businessman Ziad Takiéddine arrives at the anti-corruption police office in Nanterre, France, on November 17, 2016, for a hearing after admitting

he delivered three cash-stuffed suitcases from Libya’s Moammar Gaddafi to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy”

About Sarkozy:

He won the French presidential election, 2007 by a 53.1% to 46.9% margin to Socialist Ségolène Royal. During his term, he faced the late-2000s financial crisis (causing a recession and the European sovereign debt crisis) and the Arab Spring (especially in Tunisia, Libya, and Syria). He initiated the reform of French universities (2007) and the pension reform (2010).

He was the leader of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP) party from 2004 to 2007.

UK/Blair’s role:

  1. Blair’s ultimatum on Libya

In February 2011 Tony Blair’s assistant Catherine Rimmer, emailed Jake Sullivan, Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff, enclosing a copy of notes from Blair’s recent personal call with Libyan leader Muammar Gadaffi. At this time, the US and UK were on the verge of going to war with Libya, claiming that the Libyan leader was promoting civilian massacres in his country. Blair was by now out of UK office and was Middle East Envoy for the UN but had personal relations with Gadaffi over a number of years. Rimmer noted:

Mr Blair wanted me to let you know that he is making these calls very privately and is not briefing the media”. Rimmer stated that “Tony Blair delivered a very strong message to Gaddafi that the violence had to end and that he had to stand aside to allow a peaceful process to take place”.[35]

Blair went further, however. The notes of the call show that Blair specifically threatened Gadaffi with war unless he stand down. He told Gadaffi: “The US and the EU are in a tough position right now and I need to take something back to them which ensures this ends peacefully”.[36] This call was made on 25 February. Three weeks later, on 19 March, the US and UK began bombing Libya.

The outcome was disastrous for the people of Libya, plunging the country into lawlessness in which ungoverned spaces new terrorist forces arose while Libya became a dangerous transit hub for refugees seeking to reach Europe.

In this article, i explain why globalization and free trade, the Euro, the Euro-Zone is increasing unemployment, by making big companies even bigger, killing small companies in the process but never absorbing the work force of those small companies.

Self driving vehicles will kill -3.5 mio truck driver and -1 mio bus and taxi driver jobs

No matter how positive you might think about these details. For society they are BAD, BAD, BAD. More unemployment means more crime, although those drivers could focus on the “skills of tomorrow”  and do what machines can not do: develop their creativity and empathy. While i would like to see more truck drivers with empathy, You must be f****ing kidding me?

(src: datausa.io, alltrucking.com)

It’s not a secret.

A lot of companies not only Tesla, Uber and Mercedes are working heavily on autopilots for cars and trucks.

They spend an awful lot of developing them and a few deadly accidents later, let’s say in 2030 – trucks and taxis could be without human driver.

What if those 2.5Mio truck drivers hate self-driving trucks and hit the breaks on robots and block highways – this is what i call disruption – i would understand them, after all, they lose it all and gain nothing – because they do not possess the robots that will replace them.

Not okay: “Joe we will replace you with a robot by 2030”

Somewhat okay, but unrealistic, would need gov intervention: “Joe we will replace you with a robot by 2030, but keep paying you half the salary”

China gov subsidies robot research and development, “255 robots that can work around the clock”

they are used to sort parcels to districts and already replaced 60 human workers

“Simple manual jobs” vanish and new jobs are created in robotics.

… well do you spot a problem here? People hat handle parcels might not be capable of programing robots (who is?).

And once a robot is programed even the programmer himself/herself becomes “obsolete”.

This clearly leads to a way of life that creates unemployment on a massive scale and in-debts private households, because if humans labor (manual or sophisticated) is not needed anymore – what else can they trade with the rest of “free markets”?

Nothing. They have nothing to trade.

Economy 4.0 needs Society 4.0 and LifeStyle 4.0 which would need redistribution of rights and privileges 4.0 or face ever growing disaster

From a mankind perspective – this is economically unsustainable – in the current system – in any universe – unless the robots are owned by all people.

or: the people do not need to work because the robots produce fresh vegetables for them FOR FREE in their own garden (THEY OWN THE GARDEN not Amazon!) and produce their own fresh water (not Nestle!) and produce their own electricity (not another company).

2016: Company China buys German manufacturing robots company Kuka

Automation is a technological solution that – at first sight – solve a problem – while under the current rule set of the system increases inequality and creates even bigger problems that were there in the first place (crime) – but were smaller.

While human level robots that would automate tasks such as elderly care taking, are still a thing of the future, but companies are never the less working on it and in 2050 – grandmum will be dealing with robots and robots only.

That would be a very sad future.

2016: “FRANKFURT (Reuters) – China’s Midea (000333.SZ) said it will complete its takeover of German robotics maker Kuka (KU2G.DE) in the first half of January after the United States authorities gave the deal a green light.

Midea, which launched a 4.5 billion euro ($5 billion) offer for Kuka in May, said Germany’s markets regulator had approved the settlement of the transaction, allowing it to control a 94.55 percent voting stake in Kuka from January onwards.” (src: reuters.com)

Artificial Intelligence:

manufacturers and logistic companies, hope to save even more jobs and money with AI.

creativity and empathy are the “skills” of tomorrow

now who in the future 4.0 will pay me the unemployed 4.0 for empathy and creativity?

(i don’t know, maybe an government 4.0)

…when you live in the “unemployment per default” future… or maybe unemployment needs to be redefined? But then also private properties and barb wires will have to go… unlikely to happen under the current mindset… i wonder when Mr Bezos (Amazon, richest man) will buy the world and all it’s resources (especially water) and rent it to us SLAVES… what he already does?  That was fast.

“we will make life easier for our workers and our customers”

… the only reasonable use of robots i can see right now: CLEAN UP THIS PLANET! START WITH FUKUSHIMA NUCLEAR WASTE! DAMN IT!
